We strive to ensure that the work completed by volunteers is personally fulfilling and beneficial to Heritage and the community in which we serve. We are interested in helping you to meet your volunteer needs by providing on-going or one-time opportunities for individuals and groups of all sizes. We can tailor a volunteer activity to interests, skill level and goals. Some of the ways you or your group can help in include:
For every dollar saved through volunteer projects, we are able to direct funds to programmatic needs such as books and educational supplies for the children at the 4 Kids Early Learning Center and Heritage Out of School Time program, and provide expanded service for riders of our WorkLink van service. Volunteers who will work with children on an ongoing basis and are over the age of 18 must fulfill Pennsylvania background check requirements: Pennsylvania Criminal History and Child Abuse Clearances. FBI Criminal Background Check, and a health assessment including a TB test. Click here for more information about clearance requirements.
